Revenue's renewed-liquor-licence register lists licence ref MWP369 as a Publican's Licence (7-Day Ordinary) at HAZELWOOD, TWO-POT-HOUSE, MALLOW in CO. CORK with GEORGE O'DWYER as licensee.[1]

Irish Times reported in 2008 that the Hazel Tree bar near Newtwopothouse was owned by George O'Dwyer, who had been running the venue for 30 years and hosted country-and-Irish dancing all weekend plus card games two nights a week.[2]

The same Irish Times article reported that Declan Nerney was playing the Hazel Tree on the Friday night covered by the feature.[2]
