Revenue's renewed-liquor-licence register lists licence ref 1013315 as a Publican's Licence (ordinary) - Theatre for BUTTON FACTORY at CURVED STREET, TEMPLE BAR in DUBLIN CITY with NOTTUB LIMITED as licensee.[1]

The Irish Times reported in 2007 that the old Temple Bar Music Centre had been renamed The Button Factory by Eoin Foyle, with the new name referring to the building's previous life in the 1930s.[2]

The Irish Times reported in 2011 that the Button Factory went into examinership and that Temple Lane Management Limited was the company behind the venue at that time.[3]

The Irish Times reported in 2018 that Dublin City Council's planning department ruled the Button Factory, formerly the Temple Bar Music Centre, could not operate using a pub licence without planning permission.[4]
