Revenue's renewed-liquor-licence register lists licence ref S0162 as a Publican's Licence (7-Day Ordinary) for CROWES at 10 MERRION ROAD, BALLSBRIDGE in DUBLIN CITY with BALLINTURLY LIMITED as licensee.[1] A 2005 Irish Times rugby-price survey named Crowe's Pub, Merrion Road among pubs checked around Lansdowne Road before an Ireland-France match.[2] In 2005, Irish Independent rugby coverage said the social side Crowbars RFC was formed by Wanderers members who used to meet outside Crowe's pub in Ballsbridge before travelling to play provincial clubs on Sundays.[3]
