Revenue's renewed-liquor-licence register lists licence ref S3359 as a Publican's Licence (Ordinary) Hotel - BF - 1902 Act (Public Bar) for HOTEL PARTNERSHIP at PORTION OF 7/12 FLEET STREET, TEMPLE BAR AND ADJOINING SAID, PREMISES AT 1,2 AND 2AB ASTON PLACE in DUBLIN CITY with MORGAN LEISURE INVESTMENTS LIMITED AS GENERAL PARTNER OF THE MORGAN as licensee.[1]
An Irish Times development guide in 2004 recorded a hotel-extension planning proposal for 1-2 Aston Place and part of the ground floor of the Morgan Hotel at 7-12 Fleet Street, Temple Bar.[2] In 2016, The Irish Times reported that permission had recently been granted for a 1,313 sq m extension to the Morgan Hotel on Fleet Street, with a new sixth storey on top of the hotel's two existing blocks and room numbers increasing from 132 to 168.[3] In 2018, The Irish Times reported that the Morgan hotel on Fleet Street had reopened after a EUR15 million refurbishment, adding 39 bedrooms for a total of 168 rooms.[4]
