Listing historyNotable events

Revenue's renewed-liquor-licence register lists licence ref N1925 as a Publican's Licence (Ordinary) Hotel - BF - 1902 Act (Resident's Bar) for HOTEL ST GEORGE at 7 PARNELL SQUARE in DUBLIN CITY with SEYLENE LIMITED as licensee.[1]

NIAH records Hotel Saint George at 7 Parnell Square East as a regional-rated building of architectural and artistic special interest, originally a house and now in use as a hotel.[2] NIAH describes the building as a terraced three-bay four-storey house over exposed basement, built circa 1755, with a full-height bow and later rear extensions.[2] NIAH also states that the site was leased in 1753 by Laughlin Daly, a barrister who built the house, and that the house was later altered by E.H. Carson in 1874.[2]
