Revenue's renewed-liquor-licence register lists licence ref S0105 as a Publican's Licence (7-Day Ordinary) for KAVANAGH'S PUBLIC HOUSE at 35 NEW STREET in DUBLIN CITY with NEW STREET INNS LIMITED as licensee.[1]
The Irish Times reported in 2006 that An Bord Pleanala had an appeal for 35 New Street South and Long Lane, Dublin 8, where Abbey Building Contractors Ltd proposed to demolish a pub for a new pub with retail/commercial units and 14 apartments.[2]
The Irish Independent reported in 2008 that An Bord Pleanala refused Abbey Building Contractors permission to demolish Farrell's pub at 35 New Street South and Long Lane and replace it with a new pub and 10 apartments.[3]
