Revenue's renewed-liquor-licence register lists licence ref N2390 as a Publican's Licence (7-Day Ordinary) for LAGOONA at UNIT 4, PHASE 3, CUSTOM HOUSE SQUARE, MAYOR STREET LOWER in DUBLIN CITY with PERFECT PUBS 5 LIMITED as licensee.[1]
Irish Times reported in 2005 that two masked armed men entered the Lagoona Bar at about 10.30pm, shot a barman in the shoulder after he opened a safe, and escaped with a large sum of money.[2] Irish Independent reported in 2023 that UK-based investor Attestor Capital was seeking more than EUR1m for Lagoona Bar & Restaurant on Mayor Square, IFSC, Dublin 1.[3] The same report said Attestor bought Lagoona in 2021 as part of a five-pub group from the family of TP Smith.[3]
