Revenue's renewed-liquor-licence register lists licence ref 1018663 as a Publican's Licence (7-Day Ordinary) for LENNANS YARD at THE COACH HOUSES AT REAR OF 14 AND 15 ST.STEPHENS GREEN, AND THE SITE AND PREMISES ADJOINING THE YARD, AT THE REAR OF 20 DAWSON STREET in DUBLIN CITY with CHD ENTERTAINMENT LIMITED as licensee.[1]
Irish Times reported in November 2021 that Lennan's Yard was a multimillion-euro restaurant, cocktail bar, and gastropub project on Dawson Street.[2] The same report said the restoration linked the former Savills auctioneer's premises with a mews and original stables dating from 1780 behind 14-15 St Stephen's Green.[2] Irish Times also reported that the venue name came from William Lennan, a saddler based on Dawson Street in the 1800s.[2]
