Revenue's renewed-liquor-licence register lists licence ref N1883 as a Publican's Licence (7-Day Ordinary) for LUTTRELLSTOWN CASTLE RESORT at THE CLUBHOUSE, LUTTRELLSTOWN CASTLE GOLF AND COUNTRY CLUB, CASTLEKNOCK in DUBLIN CITY with LUTTRELLSTOWN CASTLE UNLIMITED COMPANY as licensee.[1]

Irish Times reported in 2006 that An Bord Pleanála granted permission for a single-storey 279 sq m golf academy on the eastern boundary of Luttrellstown Demesne, described as a 230-hectare historic country estate.[2] Irish Times reported in 2008 that Luttrellstown Castle golf course would close at the end of 2009 because the business was no longer sustainable, and said the five-star Dublin resort was owned by JP McManus, John Magnier, and Aidan Brooks.[3] Irish Times reported in 2009 that Luttrellstown Castle Golf and Country Club later confirmed it would remain open for 12 months.[4]
