Revenue's renewed-liquor-licence register lists licence ref 1022924 as a Publican's Licence (7-Day Ordinary) for MCSORLEY'S at SANDFORD HOUSE, 1/3/5 SANDFORD ROAD, RANELAGH in DUBLIN CITY with MCSORLEY'S (RANELAGH) LIMITED as licensee.[1]

Irish Times reported in 2008 that chef Kevin McMahon opened The Wild Goose above McSorley's public house at 1 Sandford Road, Ranelagh.[2] Irish Times reported in June 2024 that a consortium involving Jamie Heaslip, Rob Kearney, Sean O'Brien, and Dave Kearney was set to buy McSorley's pub for EUR5.5m.[3] Irish Times reported in 2025 that Grand Slam Bars, owned by Noel Anderson and the four former Ireland rugby internationals, bought McSorley's in the middle of 2024 and was finalising a deal to take over the Wild Goose restaurant space above the pub.[4]
