Revenue's renewed-liquor-licence register lists licence ref 1006303 as a Publican's Licence (7-Day Ordinary) for OPIUM at 26 WEXFORD STREET, 13 AND 14 LIBERTY LANE & 37 & 38 CAMDEN ROW in DUBLIN CITY with TREBLESIDE DESIGNATED ACTIVITY COMPANY as licensee.[1] The Irish Times reviewed Opium at 26 Wexford Street in 2014 and described it as a Thai/South-East Asian venue.[2] The Irish Times reported in 2018 that Trebleside Designated Activity Company, owner of Opium Bar, settled a High Court action over an alleged EUR1 million agreement to buy neighbouring property at 38 and 38a Camden Row.[3] Another Irish Times report said Dublin City Council had taken legal proceedings against Opium amid complaints following a multimillion-euro makeover.[4]
