Revenue's renewed-liquor-licence register lists licence ref 1013039 as a Publican's Licence (7-Day Ordinary) for ROBERTA'S at ESSEX STREET EAST OF DOLLARD HOUSE, 2/5 WELLINGTON QUAY in DUBLIN CITY with BRUSHFIELD LIMITED as licensee.[1]
Irish Times reported in May 2017 that Roberta's, a first-floor restaurant in the Wellington Quay building, was due to open on May 19th as part of a phased Press Up Group food project that also included Dollard & Co below it and a basement steakhouse.[2] Irish Times reported in July 2017 that Dublin City Council had brought High Court proceedings seeking to close Roberta's pending compliance with building regulations, with the case concerning the restaurant and bar on the first floor of Dollard House at Wellington Quay and Essex Street East.[3] NIAH records Dollard's Printing House at 2-5 Wellington Quay and Essex Street East as a regional-rated former print works dating to 1885-1890, and says the Dollard Printing Company established in 1856 moved to the site thirty years later.[4]
