Revenue's renewed-liquor-licence register lists licence ref S0166 as a Publican's Licence (7-Day Ordinary) for SANDYMOUNT HOUSE at 1 SANDYMOUNT GREEN in DUBLIN CITY with VINCENT RYAN as licensee.[1]
Irish Independent described Sandymount Green as the heart of Sandymount village and listed the well-known Ryan's Sandymount House pub among the retail and business outlets around the triangular park.[2] Irish Times reported that Sandymount's 13th annual Wrenboys parade on St Stephen's Day 1996 included local hostelries supplying performers, and quoted Mr Gus Ryan of Ryan's public house saying the event was good for the village.[3]
