Revenue's renewed-liquor-licence register lists licence ref 1004974 as a Publican's Licence (Ordinary) Hotel - BF - 1902 Act (Public Bar) for STEPHEN'S GREEN HOTEL at 1-5 HARCOURT STREET AND 8 AND 9 MONTAGUE LANE, PARISH OF ST. PETER in DUBLIN CITY with PERSIAN PROPERTIES as licensee.[1]
Irish Times listed a 2005 Dublin City Council decision to grant Persian Properties Ltd permission to demolish a building at 5 Harcourt Street and extend Saint Stephen's Green Hotel with a seven-storey building containing 27 bedrooms, two meeting rooms, and a retail unit.[2] Irish Times reported in 2007 that a replacement Edward Carson plaque was expected to be installed on the side of the building that housed the Pie Dish restaurant as part of Stephen's Green Hotel.[3]
