Revenue's renewed-liquor-licence register lists licence ref 1013947 as a Publican's Licence (Ordinary) Hotel - BF - 1902 Act (Public Bar) for THE CASTLEKNOCK HOTEL at PORTERSTOWN ROAD, CASTLEKNOCK in DUBLIN CITY with CASTLEKNOCK RESORT LIMITED as licensee.[1]

Irish Independent reported in 2002 that Monarch Properties Ltd had planning permission for an 18-hole golf course and 181-bedroom hotel near Somerton, Castleknock, with access from Porterstown Road.[2] Irish Times reported in 2016 that a five-year-old boy who lacerated his arm on a pull-out bed at Castleknock Hotel & Country Club, Porterstown Road, Castleknock, was awarded EUR18,000 damages in the Circuit Civil Court.[3] Irish Times reported in 2018 that a teenager pleaded guilty at Dublin Children's Court to burglary of a room at Castleknock Hotel, Porterstown Road, Castleknock.[4]
