Revenue's renewed-liquor-licence register lists licence ref S3086 as a Publican's Licence (Ordinary) Hotel - BF - 1902 Act (Public Bar) for THE FITZSIMONS HOTEL at 20/21/22 WELLINGTON QUAY AND, 15,16,17 AND 18 EAST ESSEX STREET in DUBLIN CITY with THE TEMPLE BAR TAVERN as licensee.[1]

Irish Times reported in 2002 that Mr Peter Fitzsimons, owner of Fitzsimons' Hotel in Temple Bar, had sold Ryan's of Parkgate Street on August 11th 2000.[2] Irish Independent reported in 2017 that accounts for Temple Bar Tavern Ltd, the firm operating Fitzsimons Hotel in Temple Bar, showed EUR377,961 spent on music, entertainment, and royalties in 2015.[3] The same report said the hotel recorded EUR5 million revenue in 2015 and that its security spend was EUR315,406, attributing the high security cost to a nightclub at the venue.[3]
