Revenue's renewed-liquor-licence register lists licence ref S0165 as a Publican's Licence (7-Day Ordinary) for THE MERRION INN at 188, 190 and 192 Merrion Road, Ballsbridge, with CORMAK LIMITED as licensee.[1]

The Irish Times reported that a fire extensively damaged the Merrion Inn on Merrion Road in June 2012 and that nobody was injured.[2]

The same report said five Dublin Fire Brigade units attended the blaze and that the roof, upstairs area, and downstairs area were damaged.[2]

The Irish Times reported that the McCormack family took over the premises in 1991 and remodelled it that year.[2]
