Revenue's renewed-liquor-licence register lists licence ref 1021502 as a Publican's Licence (Ordinary) Hotel - BF - 1902 Act (Public Bar) at NO 2 - 8, NORTHUMBERLAND ROAD in DUBLIN CITY with THE SCHOOLHOUSE HOTEL LIMITED as licensee.[1]

Irish Times reported in 1998 that the Inkwell Bar at the Schoolhouse Hotel on Northumberland Road was part of a conversion of a three-room school built in 1860, with designers retaining the pitched ceiling and exposed beams.[2] Irish Times reported in 2025 that a Schoolhouse Hotel bar manager won EUR8,000 for unfair dismissal at the Workplace Relations Commission after denying accusations concerning service charges.[3]
