NIAH records J. Walsh and Company at 6-7 Stoneybatter, Brunswick Street North, Dublin 7 as a regionally rated building with architectural, artistic and social interest, originally a house and in use as a public house when recorded on 2012-10-13.[2]

In July 2020, The Irish Times reported that Walsh's pub in Stoneybatter had reconfigured its operation to reopen under food-service rules after the wider reopening of pubs was delayed.[3]
