NIAH records the Vicar Street premises as registry number 30331053, with original use as public house, current use as public house, date range 1860-1925, and architectural, artistic and historical special interest.[2]

NIAH describes the building as an end-of-row three-bay two-storey public house built circa 1870 and renovated circa 1920, with display windows carrying the words "Rustic Vaults, Bar, Grocery".[2]

An Coimisiún Pleanála records case PL07.301899 for The Rustic Vaults Pub, Townspark, Tuam, as a planning appeal tied to Galway County Council case 17/1892 for demolition of a pool room, relocation of a pub smoking area, reconstruction of a rear room, and construction of a new two-storey side building.[3]
