Revenue's renewed-liquor-licence register lists licence ref GAP048 as a Publican's Licence (7-Day Ordinary) for THE KINGS HEAD at 15 HIGH STREET AND 16 HIGH STREET, GALWAY in CO. GALWAY with GALWAY TAVERNS LIMITED as licensee.[1]
The Kings Head's own history page says the building at 15 High Street dates back more than 800 years to the thirteenth century and was shown on Speed's 1651 Pictorial Map of Galway as the Mayor of Galway's house.[2]
