Revenue's renewed-liquor-licence register lists licence ref S3576 as a Publican's Licence (Ordinary) Hotel - BF - 1902 Act (Public Bar) for DUBLIN CITI HOTEL at 46-49 DAME STREET, UNIT 1 SPRANGERS YARD, CROWE STREET in DUBLIN CITY with MIDDLEKNOCK LIMITED as licensee.[1]
The Irish Times reported in 2016 that an interim examiner had been appointed to the operators of Dublin Citi Hotel and Trinity Bar & Venue after the business became unable to repay debts.[2] The Irish Times later reported in 2018 that the Dublin Citi Hotel on Dame Street was going to market in a sale-and-leaseback arrangement with a guide price of EUR10.7 million, as a 27-bedroom hotel on a proposed 25-year lease.[3] In 2019, The Irish Times reported that the Dublin Citi Hotel and Trinity Bar on Dame Street had sold for about EUR12 million to Singapore businessman Dr Stanley Quek.[4]
