What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They are used to remember preferences, measure site usage, and enable certain functionality.

Cookies we use

Analytics cookies (Matomo): We use self-hosted Matomo analytics to understand how the site is used. Matomo sets a first-party cookie (_pk_id and _pk_ses) to track visits across pages. These cookies expire after 13 months and 30 minutes respectively. Matomo is hosted on our own servers — no data leaves our infrastructure. IP addresses are anonymised before storage. These cookies do not identify you personally.

Session cookies: We do not use login or session cookies, as Pubhub.ie does not have user accounts.

Third-party cookies: Pages that include Leaflet maps may result in tile requests to OpenStreetMap Foundation servers. OSM does not set persistent cookies. Google Fonts requests (for typography) may result in Google's standard font-serving cookies — these are set by Google, not by us.

No advertising cookies

We do not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels, or any cookies that build profiles for advertising purposes. We do not share cookie data with third-party advertisers.

Managing cookies

You can disable cookies in your browser settings. Disabling analytics cookies will not affect your ability to use the directory. You can also opt out of Matomo tracking specifically by enabling the "Do Not Track" header in your browser — Matomo respects this setting.
