About the researcher
My name is Ciara Hurl, and I am a PhD researcher exploring tourism development, rural identity, and the vital role pubs play in sustaining community life.
This research seeks insights from pub owners to better understand how Irish pubs can remain resilient and support thriving rural communities in the face of increasing closures.
About the survey
The survey takes roughly 15 minutes to complete. All perspectives and opinions are valuable to the study and to the pub industry on the island of Ireland.
Ciara's research is supported by VFI, Hospitality Ulster, Food NI, FSB NI, and DAERA.
Who should complete it
This survey is aimed at pub owners, publicans, and bar owners. Ciara encourages respondents to share it with other publicans and bar owners who may be able to contribute.
