Revenue's renewed-liquor-licence register lists licence ref S3206 as a Publican's Licence (Ordinary) Hotel - BF - 1902 Act (Public Bar) for JACKSON COURT HOTEL/ COPPER FACE JACKS at 29/30 HARCOURT STREET in DUBLIN CITY with BREANAGH CATERING LIMITED as licensee.[1]

Irish Times culture coverage in 2018 said Copper Face Jacks opened in February 1996 in the basement of the adjacent Jackson Court Hotel and that the club took its name from John Scott, first Earl of Clonmell, who lived on Harcourt Street and was known as Copperfaced Jack.[2] Irish Times reported in March 2019 that Copper Face Jacks was officially up for sale alongside the Jackson Court Hotel.[3] Irish Times reported in November 2019 that the nightclub and 37-bedroom Jackson Court Hotel had been taken off the market by owners Cathal and Paula Jackson after Mr Jackson recovered from health problems.[4]
