Revenue's renewed-liquor-licence register lists licence ref 1019279 as a Publican's Licence (Ordinary) Hotel - BF - 1902 Act (Public Bar) for MALDRON HOTEL MERRION ROAD at 223/227 MERRION ROAD, DONNYBROOK in DUBLIN CITY with WILLIAMSBERG PROPERTY LIMITED as licensee.[1]

Irish Times reported in December 2015 that Dalata acquired the Tara Towers Hotel on Merrion Road for EUR13.1m and planned to invest EUR4.5m to convert the three-star property into a modern four-star Maldron hotel.[2] Irish Times reported in November 2021 that the former Tara Towers site was being redeveloped as a four-star Maldron hotel and 69 apartments owned by Ires Reit.[3] Irish Times reported in August 2022 that Ires Reit had taken delivery of the Tara View apartments and that the site was also home to Dalata's new four-star Maldron Hotel, which had opened that month.[4]
