Revenue's renewed-liquor-licence register lists licence ref 1015607 as a Publican's Licence (7-Day Ordinary) for ROE & CO. VISITOR CENTRE at FORMER GUINNESS POWER HOUSE BUILDING, JAMES'S STREET in DUBLIN CITY with GUINNESS STOREHOUSE LIMITED as licensee.[1]

Irish Times reported in 2017 that Diageo, owner of Guinness, planned a distillery in the former Guinness Power House on James's Street, with a visitor experience and the Roe's Distillery name honouring whiskey maker George Roe.[2] Irish Independent reported in 2018 that the EUR25 million Roe & Co Distillery and visitor centre was backed by Diageo, named after George Roe, and scheduled to open in April 2019 at the former Guinness Power Station on James's Street.[3]
