Revenue's renewed-liquor-licence register lists licence ref 1021694 as a Publican's Licence (7-Day Ordinary) for THE WINDJAMMER PUBLIC HOUSE at 111 TOWNSEND STREET, DUBLIN CITY with FERNSHORE LIMITED as licensee.[1]
The Irish Times described the Windjammer as an “early house” pub on Townsend Street in Dublin in 2008, during reporting on legislation that would end early opening for such pubs.[2]
In 2021, the Irish Independent reported that The Windjammer (corner of Townsend Street and Lombard Street East) was brought to the market with a guide price of over €1.6m.[3]
